How listings work
Enhanced profiles give businesses space to provide more useful information, but commercial placement remains separate from standard search ordering and independently reviewed supporting evidence.
Core principle
Enhanced profiles appear in a separately labelled sponsored area. They do not replace, remove or move companies within evidence-backed or standard search results, and they do not affect result totals or pagination.
Three separate concepts
A company matches the selected location and registered trade rules.
A reviewed public source supports the company’s relevance to home adaptation work.
The business provides additional company-controlled profile content and pays for enhanced presentation.
Placement rules
The company must still be contextually relevant to the person’s search.
Homepage placement
When active enhanced profiles are available, Accessible Trades may replace the homepage adaptation-guidance feature with a sponsored enhanced-profile showcase. A maximum of three profiles is shown at one time.
Information sources
Logo, photographs, service descriptions, service areas, contact preferences and project information.
Company identity, status, registered activities and other relevant Companies House information.
Supporting sources reviewed separately by Accessible Trades, where available.
